Scott Olive-Director
Scott Olive is a seasoned lacrosse player and coach, originally from Levittown, New York, where he attended Division Avenue High School. Growing up on Long Island, he competed against some of the top lacrosse talent in the world. He helped lead his high school team to a Nassau County Championship and earned a nomination for the All-County team. Following a standout high school career, Scott became the very first recruit of Hall of Fame coach Bill Tierney. He went on to play collegiate lacrosse at the Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) in Rochester, NY. During his tenure at RIT, Scott amassed an impressive 91 points and played a pivotal role in leading the team to two NCAA Final Four appearances. After college, Scott played for Suffolk LC in the USCLA, which at the time represented the highest level of post-collegiate lacrosse in the United States—just before the advent of professional leagues like the MLL or PLL. During this highly competitive era, he scored goals against some of the greatest goalies in the sport’s history. Scott also represented a Long Island all-star team that competed against Team Canada at the prestigious Vail Lacrosse Shootout. After relocating to North Carolina, Scott transitioned his focus to coaching and player development. He began by founding Lacrosse Trainer, an organization committed to growing the game through inclusive clinics and “play-days” for players of all ages and skill levels. Scott began his coaching career at Davis Drive Middle School, where he led the team to an undefeated 17–0 season and a middle school championship during his three-year tenure. He then continued working with many of his former players as an assistant coach at Green Hope High School. The following year, he was named the inaugural head coach at Apex Friendship High School, where he earned a Coach of the Year nomination after leading a team made up entirely of freshmen and sophomores. Scott later served as the head coach at Cary Academy for five years, where he rebuilt the program into one of the strongest in the school’s history. As his coaching reputation grew, Scott joined a program that would eventually evolve into Red Devil United. He went on to coach several Red Devil teams—including one widely regarded as one of the program’s best—leading them to seven consecutive tournament titles and earning national recognition. A few years later, he was appointed Director of Red Devil United. Known for his hands-on leadership style, Scott coined the term “floater coach” to describe his role: actively supporting coaches and players by rotating through practices and games. While he isn’t often assigned to a single team, Scott remains deeply committed to his upperclassmen, consistently showing up on the sidelines, communicating with college coaches, and advocating for his players. Scott’s impact reached the national stage through his leadership of teams representing Carolina. He led one team to a second-place finish at the National Tournament of Champions, followed by a championship victory at the National Lacrosse Classic (NLC). That win earned the team an invitation to compete against Team Canada in the Brogden Cup World Championship Series. The Carolina USA team went on to sweep Canada in the series. Coach Olive successfully repeated both the national and world championship victories the following year. Recently, Scott took on the role of Offensive Coordinator at Northwood High School. In his first season, he helped guide the team to the North Carolina State Championship, falling only to powerhouse Lake Norman Charter School. During his time at Northwood, he played a pivotal role in the development of standout athletes, including an All-American attackmen and All-State midfielder. Coach Olive was invited to bring the positive lacrosse culture to the coast, which led to the creation of the Red Devil Coast team. By offering off-season lacrosse opportunities through the Red Devil program, both teams and individual players have experienced significant growth. Croatan High School quickly recognized the value of the program—many of their players participate on various Red Devil teams—and fully embraced the opportunity. As a result, Croatan now holds the top ranking in the state. The Red Devil Coast team proudly features some of the strongest players from a good portion of high school programs across eastern North Carolina. Widely respected for his mentorship both on and off the field, Scott remains a driving force in the development of lacrosse in North Carolina and beyond.

Krissy Lapczynski
Coach Lapczynski grew up in Syracuse, NY where I began playing lacrosse in the 2nd grade after my sister Kerry and I watched our older cousins play men's lacrosse. Shortly after we were hooked on the sport! From there I began in the ULA league and went on to play both for the school team and Marcellus Girls Lacrosse Club as well as club lacrosse with Star Riders. Countless tournaments, clinics, and school seasons kept lacrosse a high priority in the Boyle house. During my junior and senior year, I ranked in the top 100 for potential girls' lacrosse college recruits in New York. Although numerous college lacrosse opportunities came, I decided to pursue academics and go to pharmacy school at MCPHS University in Boston for a 6 year accelerated PharmD program where I graduated with my Doctor of Pharmacy in 2018. I then went on to complete a PGY1 Residency specialized in Ambulatory Care at Auburn University. During my time in college, I played recreation lacrosse around Boston and during alumni games on college breaks. After my residency, we moved to Mobile, AL where I began coaching for Mobile Youth Lacrosse and St. Paul's Girls Lacrosse. Upon moving to North Carolina in 2020, I found Red Devil Lacrosse and began coaching girls' lacrosse for them.
